NPCC Unit Camp 2014 (2D1N)

During the NPCC camp 2014, It was very enjoyable and eventful. We felt very happy as we could spend more time with our friends and our fellow NPCC mates. Cadets from the Secondary 1, 2 and 3 Squads came together to have fun over the 2 Days One Night in school.
During the first day of the camp, we went for the Laser Quest activity held at the HomeTeam NS it was very fun and competitive, each of us had to play against the other group and I believe that this activity helps to co-operate team building. In the spirit of competition, we had learnt to try our best to play not only for our own team but for ourselves too. The competitive atmosphere was intensive, as everyone fought very intensely to gain as many points as possible.
After everybody had a chance to play, we went back to school and had our dinner. We felt very appreciative to the fact the one of our school vendors stayed behind for long hours to provide us with delicious dinner. Right after we had out dinner as nighttime beckoned, we went for a night walk from our school all the way to Dawson place. Our teacher officers  and cadet inspectors led us to the rightful place. The Secondary three cadets were led by Mr Chng; the Secondary two led by Ms Lim and Mr Tham; Secondary Ones led by Ms Luo and Mr Leong. We managed to pick up some cheers which include 'Peace By A River'. It was definitely a meaningful time spent bonding with our own NPCC mates. We headed back to our school from Dawson place and the night was ceased to an end.
The second day of the camp, we gathered together with the Secondary 4 cadets and were split into respective groups for the Newspaper Collection at the Meiling Street( Lion Befrienders' Centre). It was very meaningful and we helped to collect the newspapers from residents of Meiling Street. Although it was very tiring, we felt very happy that we are able to do something to help the needy families. When we went back to school, we did area cleaning and went back home after the camp officially ended. We look forward to next year's NPCC unit camp.
