NPAP 2016

The NPCC Annual Parade marks the celebration of the NPCC Day as well as to honour the outstanding achievements of its units. The aim of this parade is to instill loyalty and dedication to the NPCC cadets to the corps. Our unit has proudly earned the Gold award for the Unit Overall Profiency Award (UOPA) for the semester year of 2015. Thus, we given the opportunity to be part of the Guard-Of-Honour (GOH) this year. This year four of our Sec 3 cadets attended the GOH selection. One of the four cadets was given the opportunity to be Queensways's Flag Bearer for this year's NPAP. The cadets sacrificed their holidays as well as their Saturdays to be part of this year's parade. Through this parade the cadets learned various drills such as the Rifle Drills (for the GOH contingent) and the Flag Drills (for the Gold Unit Flag Party).

The actual parade was held on the 9th of April 2016 at the Unity Square. Home Team Academy. The Reviewing Officer for this year's parade is Mr Ng Chee Meng, Acting Minister for Education (Schools) and Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Transport. Mr Ng was also a former NPCC cadet and he also mentioned his NPCC life story in his speech during the parade. He did mentioned during the parade that his current wife was also a former NPCC cadet and they met through this CCA as well. The parade ended successfully at 7.30pm and reception was held at the Harmony Hall.
