Pasir Panjang Automated NPP Visit 2017
Today, some Secondary 2 and 3s NPCC Cadets embarked on a visit to one of Singapore's first automated NPP or Neighbourhood Police Post. You might think what's so interesting about a police post, and here's why:
1. This NPP has no officers upfront to assist you. Instead, you will use machines and computers at bay for help.
2. The NPP integrates the latest technologies, and so it reduces manpower use on NPPs and increases the number of officers policing streets and hotspots around Singapore, thus enhancing the security of the public.
3. Lodge a police report through the computer system, fast and seamless, no more paperwork or human interaction. But should you require assistance, just pick up the phone next to the booth and it will connect you to Queenstown NPC, which oversees the Pasir Panjang NPP.
4. Besides lodging police reports and other police matters, you can also access the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority e-services through the kiosk.
5. The NPP now provides digital signage with information for the public (public education).

The interior of the Pasir Panjang NPP, furnished with a lost item drop box (in yellow), and an e-Kiosk section where police reports are lodged and also where you can access services for the ICA and Police.
Oh, and a vending machine that'll come in handy if you needed to quench your thirst under Singapore's hot and humid weather.
Cadets discussing with the officers with questions regarding the law and the newly opened NPP.
