Beijing trip day 4

Right after our breakfast in the hotel, we travelled to our destination for the trishaw-ride in Hutong which is then followed by a tour around Sihe yuan and a paper-cutting workshop. The trishaw-ride was amazing as well as the breath-taking scenery. It was a wonderful experience riding on the trishaw as we moved along the buildings at the Hutong street. We then arrived at the Sihe Yuan where we got briefed on the history and the culture of the architechture of the surrounding buildings at Hutong.
We moved on to the paper-cutting workshop which was being conducted by a local there. It was rather enjoyable to be able to learn paper-cutting with our fellow friends. Next on, we had our lunch which was being prepared by the locals and all of us had a delightful and scrumptious meal and felt very grateful for the hospitality.
After lunch, we headed off to visit the China science and technology museum which consists of five different exhibition halls. The museum was very enriching and it is also filled with many different types of interactive activities and experiments which will enable us to better understand the various science concepts and theories. It was a whole new experience and a really fun way to learn the science concepts as we were able to engage ourselves and try out the experiments.
Thereafter, we went to the tourist attraction site- the Beijing National Stadium, also known as the 'birds nest'. The 2008 Summer olympics and Paralympics were also being held here at the 'bird's nest' and it is also famous for its exquisite design. All of us took many photos together in front of the 'bird's nest' and had much fun despite the freezing cold weather. After such a hectic day, we went to a steamboat restaurant to have our dinner. All of us we warmed by the steamboat dinner in the cold weather. Despite the freezing cold weather, all of us had much fun together as a whole and really enjoyed the day.
